Meet the smallest museum in the world

The hollow of an old disused lift hides the world’;s smallest museum. And of course a little wonder like this can only be in the only city in the world, where millions of people live full of incredible concern, of course speak of the city of New York. There 3 friends came together to found this museum meets unclassifiable small everyday objects that one can find anywhere in the metropolis strolling. Alex Kalman and Josh and Benny Safdie brothers are restless characters of those that abound in the city of the artists themselves are what they carry several years making a heterodox audiovisual project that can be seen on their website.

In an old narrow alley in the city of New York opens this tiny space where these artists that form the collective Red Bucket Films have brought this unusual museum.

We will certainly shock to see these everyday objects as components of a collection but you have to make an effort and try to understand their point of view. Art is everywhere, in any human production can be found even if only a slight trace of art.

The space offered by the hollow of this old elevator has been maximized, every square inch is usable space. The exhibition is divided into some parts and others are permanent collections are rotated.

The small museum even has a dedicated area microespacio cafe and souvenir shop related to the museum and all the museums of the world.

Objects that can be found in this museum are the most heterogeneous, from a collection of tubes of toothpaste worldwide to shoe thrown at him to Georges W. Bush during a press conference in 2008.

Like any reputable museum that also has a regular schedule of opening to the public but in this case, taking advantage of its small dimensions have been provided openings in the door for the visitor to appreciate the museum’;s collections even when you have your doors
