Knitted is a series of lighting fixtures, which is a combination between technology and tradition. Knitted patterned wool threads create a 3-dimensional woven layer which serves as a lamp. This design project is a design by the artists Ariel Zuckerman and Oded Sapir.
It connects the industrial knitting with traditional crochet and created this fabric and design. The material adjustment to the rigid skeletal structure makes these hanging lamps with an organic touch and gorgeous variegation.
