Our Facebook web page has fans…LOTS of fans, as we identified out when we invited you to send in pictures of your Christmas decorations. Here are a few we’ve enjoyed so far! Tiny trees are perfect for little spaces — with Santa figurines beneath them, creating up a lighted elf’s “body,” gracing an apartment window or a cozy corner, and even as a “junior” version of a big tree. Trees typically show up with electric trains, mini-villages, or teddy bear collections beneath them. Tree skirts are star-shaped, ruffled, plaid, paisley, red or greet felt (or each), and even swaths of satin, observed beneath a striking white tree done in décor of white lights and blue and green ornaments and bows. Toppers run from stars, to angels, to glitter, to bows of gold, silver, or red.
Bows and ribbons cover these trees: lengths of chiffon drape gently more than lights for a beautiful gossamer glow, whilst red streamers trail from a tree-topper down to its bottom branches. White ribbons appear heavenly paired with multicolored lights and white beaded garland. Silver ornaments and garland make for a classic shine — along with a casual aluminum “glow” of beer can ornaments! Some of these trees, you’ll notice, we see by each day and night — or unlighted versus lighted, an especially intriguing difference when light colors are “layered” as they are on a single tree. Stockings, reindeer, and fabulous outside lights are right here, too…and, of course, stacks of wrapped presents. Looks like our Fashionable Eve readers are pulling out all the stops to get pleasure from their Christmas we hope you’re enjoying yours, too!
