The truth is that decorating a Christmas tree can be expensive, and there is a myriad of ornaments that go over our budget. In times of crisis, there is always Low Cost Ideas for all, also to make our ownChristmas ornaments recycled. This time we will use old light bulbs.
At first glance it may seem that it is a craft very complicated. Nothing is further from reality. The truth is that with a little time and skill, begin to make with our own hands, a good number of these fun ornaments.
Most importantly of all, clean the bulb with alcohol. With this pre-cleaning, paint will adhere better afterwards. Thus, after the alcohol bath, the next step is to paint the bulb with two coats of flat paint. It is very important that the paint is flat, then the brightest paints peeling can give worse results at any given moment.
After this step, once our coat of flat paint to dry, usually white, we will decorate the bulb with our own designs. We encourage you to make the design first on paper to see how it gives us ways to do that and Christmas items. After testing paper, we turn to our final canvas, the bulb. Try to make the drawings with smooth even strokes. Also, always use acrylic paint, both for the base layer to the details you want to incorporate into our designs.
After a few hours of drying, our decorative bulb is ready to be hung from the tree. To do this, we have done previously, a small hole in the metal part of it (you can use a drill) and then thread a ribbon or a finite thread. This will help us later to hang these beautiful and delicate glass balls recycling at our Christmas tree.
Note that anything goes when it comes to getting down to work, you can avail yourself of fabric scraps, twigs and everything you can think of to add to your balls. Everything you decide paste recommend that you do with silicon.
